Terms of Service

Plotwright is a statistics and scientific-graphing application provided by Furiga GmbH. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using the hosted service, you agree to these terms.

1. Provider and eligibility

The service is provided by Furiga GmbH, Kettberg 31, 8049 Zürich, Switzerland, UID CHE-390.989.511. You must be legally capable of entering into these terms. If you use Plotwright for an institution or company, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials and recovery codes secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person may not evade trial, rate-limit or payment rules by creating multiple accounts. We may suspend an account to investigate abuse, security risks or non-payment.

3. Your projects and content

You retain ownership of project files, scientific data, figures, prompts and other content you provide. You grant Furiga GmbH only the limited rights needed to transmit, process and return that content at your request, operate the service, and provide support. Projects normally remain in your browser; hosted analysis inputs are processed transiently rather than stored as cloud projects.

Feedback messages may be used to maintain and improve Plotwright. This does not give us ownership of project data you intentionally attach to a report. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary for all content you submit.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access another user's account, data or sessions without permission;
  • circumvent authentication, entitlement, rate-limit or billing controls;
  • probe, disrupt, overload or introduce malicious code into the service;
  • use automated scraping or the API outside normal application use without consent;
  • submit unlawful content or data you are not authorised to process; or
  • use Plotwright for clinical diagnosis, patient treatment or another safety-critical decision.

5. Trial, subscriptions and billing

New accounts receive the trial period described on the pricing page. The trial does not require a payment card and does not automatically become a paid subscription. When the trial ends, compute features may become read-only while opening, viewing and exporting existing projects remains available.

Paid subscriptions begin only when you complete Stripe Checkout. Prices, billing period, currency and taxes are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Except where law requires otherwise, fees already charged are non-refundable. You may nevertheless request a refund of your first paid subscription charge within 30 days by contacting us. AI credits are prepaid usage balances and are not cash or legal tender.

6. Optional AI assistant

The AI assistant is optional. If enabled, selected project content, prompts and tool results are sent to the configured AI provider. AI output can be incomplete, incorrect or inappropriate. You must independently review analyses, code, interpretations and citations before relying on them. Do not provide sensitive or regulated information to the assistant unless you have assessed and accepted the provider's terms and data practices.

7. Scientific-use disclaimer

Plotwright is a general research and educational tool, not a medical device, clinical diagnostic system or substitute for professional statistical review. You are responsible for data quality, selecting suitable methods, checking assumptions, validating imported projects and reviewing results. Keep original data and independent backups.

8. Plotwright software and intellectual property

Furiga GmbH and its licensors retain rights in the Plotwright service, branding and proprietary materials. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted service. Open-source components and self-hosted source code remain governed by their respective licences. These terms do not restrict rights granted by an applicable open-source licence.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability or a contractual service level. We may change, suspend or discontinue features for security, legal, technical or product reasons. Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes that adversely affect paid use. Export your projects regularly so they are not dependent on continued service availability.

10. Disclaimer of warranty

To the extent permitted by law, Plotwright is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement or uninterrupted operation. Mandatory statutory warranties are not excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Furiga GmbH is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss, or for loss of data, profits, publications or research opportunity arising from Plotwright. Furiga GmbH's aggregate liability connected with the service will not exceed the fees you paid for Plotwright during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

12. Termination

You may stop using Plotwright and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful use, security risk or unpaid charges, normally after giving a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue when appropriate. Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email where appropriate. The updated terms apply from the stated effective date; if you do not accept them, you should stop using the service before that date.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer venue, the courts of Zürich, Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction.
