How do I open a .prism file without GraphPad Prism?

Use Plotwright's browser importer for a modern .prism project. Choose File → Import… — not “Open project,” which is reserved for Plotwright .oprism files — then review the migration summary before relying on any converted analysis or graph.

Work from a copy. Plotwright reads the selected project and never modifies the source .prism file.

Open Plotwright, choose File → Import… and select the modern .prism project from your device.

Inspect the preserved, approximated and unsupported objects, then rerun one trusted analysis and compare its editable graph.

Format boundary: modern Prism 10 .prism projects use the full migration route. .pzfx follows a data-first XML route; a legacy binary .pzf file must first be saved as .pzfx or .prism in GraphPad Prism. If you only need read-only access, GraphPad also documents a free Viewer Mode. Neither Plotwright import route promises exact round-trip reproduction.

Plotwright never modifies the source .prism file. Imported graphs and layouts may be approximated; the migration report identifies preserved and approximated objects, plus objects that need manual recreation.
